Spelling typo

Okay, In my most recent post(like 20 seconds ago) I misspelled unnecassarily and it was driving me crazy. I don't know if people read this, but I would hate for you to think I can't spell and have no self-confidence.

The end is in sight...

The end of the day that is. Only 20 minutes to go.
Tonight I'm going to the Y to work out. For real.
I say this because I live literally 100 feet from the front doors of my local YMCA and even had a membership for 7 mos and never went in there.
Tonight is the big night though folks.
The problem is that I don't like to work out in front of people.
i have some major self confidence issues and I know people are most likely staring at me and laughing like crazy, but something in my head tells me they are and it makes me unnesaccarily nervous.
I'm determined to lose this 10 pounds that I've gained.
Why is it that losing 10 pounds is so hard when those people on Oprah lose like a hundered all the time.
Maybe if you have more to lose you are more motivated.
So...maybe I should gain more weight to lose more?
Just kidding.
So why is everyone 'over blogging'?
What will I do all day when people stop updating?
Please, people, for my sanity keep the blogging up.
Darcy says tomorrow is recipe day so I will try and think of something in my limited recipe experience to post.
Peace out peeps.

crazy beautiful

School is crazy.
People I work with are crazy.
They make me crazy.
Do you ever wish people could get in your head and really understand you or you could do the same so you could understand someone else.
Sometimes it's like people are from a different planet.
This would only work though if you allowed them to come in.
Trust me people do not want an all time access pass into my mind and vice versa I'm sure.
Farm shows and even tractor pulls are fun if you are drinking.
Saw lots of farmers.
You could seriously buy anything you wanted with John Deere on it.
Saw some seriously skanked out girls.
Maybe they didn't know that when you went to a farm show you would just be looking at combines all day.
Maybe they thought it was a cover up rave.
It was nice to get away. Can't beleive it is Friday already.
That was a whole week ago.
I need to get away again.
I'm having a slumber party with my cousins 2 daughters tomorrow night.
Should be fun.
We're going to attempt to make cards.
I know I'm a teacher and I have patience like a saint when working with kids in my classroom, but it doens't transfer over to my everyday life very well.
Okay, hope your weeks were spectacular.
Enjoy the weekend!

Bliggety Bloggin'

In college my friends and I used to call all the boys we dated or whatever "_iggety insert name here" like griggety Greg, Jiggety John...
So lately for some reason I can't stop doing this with every name I think of.
Tom and I are Tiggety Tom and Wiggety Wendy.
That makes me laugh.
Ha Ha Ha.
My freind and her husband are Miggety Matt and Kiggety Katie.
That sounds a little stupid(sorry Katie, but it's true).
Anyway....
Big farm show this weekend.
Can't wait to get out of here.
I need a "vacation" even if it means looking at big tractors for 3 days.
At least it will be looking at big tractors in another town.
Went to the ever so exciting motorcycle show last weekend with Tiggety.(Hehehe-see laughing).
I think he really believes I might purchase a motorcycle.
I think he really might be out of his mind.
I was scared to even sit on them when they were just in the show room.
What if they fall over?
I don't think helmets do that much.
Oddly, I've rode on the back of his and it wasn't scary, but I have absolutely no interest in riding on one by myself.
I'll stick to the nice low to the ground snowmobile. I like that.
Plus you get to where ALOT of clothes so even if you fall off you won't get hurt.
ANd you land on SNOW not asphalt!
Okay, have a good weekend y'all (getting into the Louisville speak).
Oh, and Niki tagged me I will do it when I get back:)

Awwww...one of my fourth grade boys brought me in a small box of chocolates.
He's so cute.
Here is the story he just told me(remember he is only in 4th grade):
boy: I had to go to Juevie (juvenile detention center) for a couple years once.
Me: Oh really, why was that? A couple years is a long time you know.
boy: yea, well, when I was like 5 my girlfriend broke up with me the day before Valentines day and got a new boyfriend and he was cheating on her so I beat the snot out of him.
?!?!What the....?!?!
Where did he even come up with that story. He also said he went once when he was 3.
He was so into it I just let him go on.
Anyway, I got a box of candy out of the deal.
So today sucks.
Crazy family stuff.
I don't even want to go into it, but I will say my sister and family need a lot of prayer right now.
And a v-day shout out to Tom.
Thanks for being so great.
You really make me so happy.
Sunday when we were driving home I just couldn't stop thinking about how much happier and just more complete feeling when I'm with you.
I don't even think he reads this, but all the same.
Have a lovely Valentines Day everyone.
I wish you all boxes of chocolate and great stories from 9 year old boys!

Some random highlights

Once again no school on Monday!
Too many conference this month.
Had one for my super smart kiddo this morning.
He is in first grade. He says recess is getting better, although, he would like to be able to find a friend he can talk about his interests and feelings with but the other kids just want to play. So, he usually plays now.
What the other first graders don't want to talk about their interests in such areas as history and politics?
Weird, huh?
Cute kid though.
My other kids just make me laugh because they are soooooo out of it. Most of them are special ed. Very special indeed.
My pricipal scares the crap out of me and yesterday I accidentally parked in her spot. Luckily the custodian came and told me to move my car. whatever.
This weekend is going to be crazy busy.
Hopefully it will snow so I can do some snowmobiling.
Global warming is not good.
May be going to my old highschool girls bball game. They rock!
They really are so good. I'm sad that Janie(sister)quit.
She has some major problems with authority though. Organized sports aren't her thing.
I love it when they get aggressive. I'm sure that is bad, but they don't play like 'girls' and that makes it good fun to watch.
I remember one game where Janie was so mad she threw the ball down and went after a girl.
Maybe that is why she doesn't play anymore.
Have a great weekend!
Oh-my goal seriously is to post some layouts Sunday night or Monday. I tried earlier this weekend, but I"m not so good with technical things like scanners and such!

V-day

So, this is my first V-day with a someone.
Actually, Tom and I were dating in '04 for Valentines, but I think we had only gone on one official date and we were both out of town on the actual day.
He did buy me flowers, though.
And I still have the card.
I remember I looked at it that whole weekend that I was out of town.
Oh, I was so happy.
I still am so happy, but I'm not feeling the V-day vibe.
I don't even really feel like doing much of anything this weekend.
Usually, I would feel like going out and doing something.
A nice dinner and movie.
Not this weekend though.
I think he will be out of town on the 14th anyway.
If you read this, TP, I'm getting you something(small and inexpensive) and I'm making you something.
Not a scrapbook( although, I'm sure your longing for your very own, hehe).
Something edible.
And so good.
And so not good for people trying to lose weight, but still all I can think about right now.
Yummm......
Okay so enough of that...
Next week is a 3 day work week!!!!!!!
Yippee!!
Monday is a snow make-up day and it stopped snowing here a long time ago, so no school!!
And Friday...I'm taking off to go to the FARM SHOW with Tom and his family.
I don't know what is at a farm show.
Maybe tractors and fertilizer.
But it is in Louisville and I love that town.
Haven't been there a lot, but I like driving through.
So yeah to 3 day work weeks and snow make-up days and farm shows (!?!?).
Maybe they have like the biggest potatoe ever grown at a farm show.
I don't think so, though.

WARNING: reading this will not enrich your life at all

So first of all I'm a total ditz. I published the same post twice and then wrote about it in another post and posted that one twice as well, DUH!!
Here is another random bit of incredible weirdness on my part.
Not stupid, but weird.
I can deal with being weird.
The other night I was using my sisters laptop at my parents to look at the 2peas gallery and my mom was crossstitching in her chair. My brother and dad were the only other people in the room and they fast asleep in their recliners. Jenna and Janie were both upstairs being antisocial as teenagers like to do. Heidi was at work. My point being that my mom and I were really the only ones in the living room who were able to make any noise.
So, I hear this humming. Finally, I was like 'Mom, could you stop humming?'. She replied, 'I'm not humming I thought it was you.'
We were completely weirded out, but continued on with our respective activities.
The humming stopped for a while.
THen I hear it again.
'Mom, seriously, you are humming' -Wendy
'No I'm not. Are you sure you aren't?' -Mom
'I think I would know if I was humming'-Wendy
'Well, there is no humming now, because you are talking. I'm pretty sure you are humming, Wendy'-Mom
So, I look at her like she has lost her mind and go back to scanning the gallery and pretty soon I hear the humming again and guess what....It WAS ME!!!
Seriously, how could I be humming and not know it?
I'm a subconcious hummer(as in person who makes a humming sound not the other kind).
Very weird.

3 Things...

1.)Ummm...I published that last post twice. stupid.
2.) I know I'm not spelling Antwon Randel El correctly most likely.
3.) One of my students said dude today. Hilarious. I thought I was the only one who insisted on calling people dude, but apparently 9 year olds do as well.
He said "I want some more Jamaica, Dude!"
I think he was confusing Jamaica with tea because we were playing with a tea set. I have no idea why he would do this, but the Dude thing cracked me up.

RANDEL EL DID NOT GO TO PURDUE

Right that is like the only time I really could have cared less what was going on in the game.
In fact I found out that morning who was playing.
Tom was giving me hints, from Seatle, a bird...
I guessed the Orioles.
In my defense I knew this wasn't right, but he wanted a guess.
Okay, so his sister who went to Purdue asked if Antwon went to Purdue!?!?!?!
Hey, don't make fun of IU then take the Antwon credit, okay?
I also may have unintentionally consumed a few too many alcoholic beverages as well.
At the end of the evening people just kept buying them though.
I don't think Tom ever wants to watch Grey's with a drunk Wendy again.
I don't think I ever want to watch Grey's drunk again.
I've never been so confused.
Tom finally turned it off and said his mom taped it so we could watch that later.
Like I said the drinking was unintentional and it was kind of a confusing episode anyway, right?

ITS OVER

The court stuff is finally (I hope anyway) over.
So, this is what happens when you don't show up a third time in court (after the second the sherriff hand delivers the papers for you to show up)...
You get arrested!!!!
Are you kidding me!
I don't know what I was expecting, but seriously why would you not show up? I mean maybe she thinks she is proving a point.
I just think it would be easier to show up for the whole 10 minute court thing than actually going to JAIL!!!
Okay, enough of that.
Today is Friday.
Jeans day, but I of course didn't know that so I'm all dressed up.
Oh, well, it costs $5 to wear jeans so I will pretend that not wearing jeans is part of my money saving plan.
So, I scrapped yesterday.
Made one of my favorite pages ever.
Love it.
Kind of CAjess14 inspired. Mixing four very different papers.
Can't wait for the weekend to start.
Get to see Tom tonight.
That is always good.
Also, Superbowl weekend but don't know what I'm doing for that.
We were supposed to go to Detroit and stay with Stacie and Erik, but I can't take Monday off of work.
Hoping to get Stacie's album finished this weekend.
There are so many things I always want to do on the weekends and never enough time.
Oh, yeah, yesterday during my 'sick' day I went to Pages In Time. I got some cool stuff I've been wanting for a while. I love that store, but it's such a long drive.
They said to keep calling over the next few weeks because when the new Basic Grey gets in it will probably go fast.
I so want some of that.
I think I'm going to alter some cavases with it.
Beautiful.

Lets hear it for field trips

So, I'm actually ahead of myself today at work. The kids are all off to 'Frosty the Snowman' in play form so there is no one here for me to see. I think I will be going home on time today. Which is good because of course I didn't do pilates last night so maybe tonight?
Why is it so hard to get my self to do it? I know that once I do I will be glad, but my motivation is not here.
Where did it go.
So I am taking tomorrow off, but that is the last court date I'm going to go to for this whole civil suit thing.
I'm sure she won't show up anyway, but last time it was entertaining to listen to everyone else go through their cases.
It just enforces my opinion that people in this town are quality. Yessiree, qual-ITY!
Here is what I've learned about civil suits if you are wondering:
You don't have to show up, if you do show up you really don't have to pay, if someone is going to pay you then they are probably and honest nice person and you wouldn't need the civil suit in the first place.
I will never do this again. I'm staying away from the weird people from now on.
They are just drawn to me somehow.
I actually have two comments from my last blog.
One from Niki.
That is so weird b/c she is one of Katie's friends from highschool.
Other is Darcy whose blog I've been reading for a while.
I think we live maybe kind of close to each other.
Not sure on that, but I know Pages In Time is her LSS.
